JARED ORDWAY, PH.D. - Trainer, Mediator and System Designer

Jared is a conflict intervention specialist, researcher, and educator whose diverse intermediary experiences encompass training, consulting, and advising roles for clients that range from government agencies & diplomatic missions, to businesses and civil society organizations. He draws expertise from over 15 years of engagement and experience facilitating conflict & transformation processes, organizational change & intercultural management, team building & leadership enrichment, military deployment & reintegration cycles, urban violence prevention practices, and socio-educational project development. In the training arena, Jared is dedicated to design that renders content relevant, innovative, and inspiring. He has successfully delivered diverse programming with the aim of building capacity and awakening faculties in audiences of diverse station, including US federal agency managers & executives, foreign diplomats, graduate and law students, educators, civil society leaders, and community activists. Jared also regularly teaches and guest lectures at higher-educational institutions that include the University of Maryland, Columbia University of New York, Costa Rica’s Universidad Nacional, and the American University of Washington, DC. He is currently a core faculty member with Champlain College’s Masters of Science program in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies, where he teaches Advanced Mediation, Systems Theory, International Conflict Studies, and Ethics for Conflict Professionals. A native of the state of Vermont (USA), Jared has lived in five countries, and works globally through professional-level fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
